The Kundapura Rural Ayurveda Medical College was envisioned by the Amruteshwari Trust with the aim to impart quality Ayurvedic education to achieve holistic health in the community. The institution is situated in the coastal belt of Kundapura, adorned by the Arabian Sea on one hand and the vibrant culture of Kundapura on the other.
The Kundapura Rural Ayurveda Medical College is located 5kms from Kundapura town in the calm and scenic surroundings of Koteshwara in Udupi District of the state of Karnataka, India. The institution is established in a picturesque five and a half acre land unperturbed by the hustle and bustle of city life. The institution aims to provide excellent Ayurvedic knowledge to ayurvedic enthusiasts from around the globe. The campus situated in the five-and-a-half-acre land has a well-built college with spacious and well-ventilated classrooms. The laboratory is well equipped with all the contemporary facilities in it. Each of the departments are well organized with models, charts, and required amenities for a better understanding of the subject. The main objective is to provide excellent knowledge from both Ayurvedic and modern viewpoints with adequate practical training to harness a breed of excellent physicians. Sri Kalabyraveshwaraswamy Ayurvedic Medical College, Hospital & Research Center (SKAMCH & RC) was established in the year 1996 - 1997 to meet the increasing demand for Ayurveda education and to revive this ancient system of medicine. The college is affiliated to Rajiv Gandhi University of Health Sciences, Karnataka and recognized by Central Council of Indian Medicine, New Delhi, Government of Karnataka and Department of Ayush, Government of India.
Sri Kalabyraveshwaraswamy Ayurvedic Medical College, Hospital & Research Center (SKAMCH & RC) is providing very good quality education to 100 under graduate students in each batch and is providing all the facilities for learning the science and to enable them to become good Ayurveda Doctors. Post-Graduate studies were started in the year 2010 - 2011.
